On December 11-12 Birmingham (GBR) will host 12th FIG Artistic World Cup Final. After great results in La Serena
(CHI) Sep 11 - 1st place on parallel bars and 2nd place on high bar, in Glasgow on Oct 31 - 6th place on parallel bars
and yesterday 4th places on parallel bars and high bar in Ghent Nov 7, is there a chance for Samuel
Piasecky (pictured from Sport News at Slovak Television STV Nov 8th and on our picture taken Jan 14 2003 - Isn't it
the same picture?) to qualify for World Cup Final?
Unfortunately the answer in "NO". This talented gymnast from Kosice (coach Jozef Ducak) who trains now
in Slavia UK Bratislava (coaches Martin Zvalo - Jozef Konecny) is in the latest parallel bars rank list published
by FIG today - Nov 8th on 18th place with 74 points and he takes 23rd
place with 50 points on high bar which is not enough for World Cup Final. Nevertheless his recent performance proves
that Piasecky became one of the best PB and HB specialist in the world.

On Thursday April 22nd, just 5 days after
Jan Petrovic in his last gymnastics meet placed 21st in All
Around Individual Finals at 2004 Men's European Championships in Ljubljana (SLO) he arrived to
Montreal.
He accepted invitation from famous Cirque du Soleil to try a new career as
an artist. Three weeks later we went to Montreal to visit Jan to see how he is doing in his new
career.

After a very long time of waiting Slovakia had again a gymnast in apparatus
finals at the senior World or European Championships thanks to Zuzana
Sekerova (pictured in 2003 Worlds Anaheim), originally from Trnava who lives now in
Savannah, GA (USA) and train under her husband Coach Wayne Evans supervision. During Sunday's
Beam Finals at 25th European Championships in Amsterdam (NED) Zuzana Sekerova finished 6th
with 8.850 (she qualified with 4th-5th highest score 9.262)

Zuzana Sekerova did not repeat her great
performance from Friday's qualification (35.986) at 25th European Championships in Amsterdam (NED)
and in today's All-Around finals finished 20th with 34.424 points mainly due to very low
score on floor exercise - only 7.425 (8.850 on Friday). She will compete tomorrow on beam during
apparatus finals.

Zuzana Sekerova (pictured) had a great day at 25th
European Championships in Amsterdam (NED). In Friday's qualification she placed 9th among
110 gymnasts from 37 countries of Europe with amazing score of 35.986. What a big success
for small Slovakia! She qualified not only for Saturday's All-Around individual finals, but
also for Sunday's finals on beam with 9.262 (same score as famous Svetlana Khorkina
and both share 4th-5th place in qualification). By the way this is the first apparatus final
for Slovak gymnast in 11-years old history of Slovakia as independent country. Thank you,
Zuzana and good luck!
Slovak women's senior team finished 17th with 98.885 points. The only other
Slovak gymnast competing all four event Maria Homolova
finished 38th in qualification with 31.800 points and did not qualified for AA finals.
Veronika Adamska, who competed only on vault, bars and beam
was 70th with 23.074 points and Jana Luptakova received 8.025
points for her only event - floor exercise.
